The mass rejection of the H1N1 flu shot continues in Europe, prompted by fears over the vaccine’s safety, with extremely low percentages of people saying they intend to take it.
In France, a poll published in the Dimanche Ouest-France newspaper and reported on by the country’s biggest newspaper Le Monde, reveals that just 17% of the population now intend to get vaccinated.
A rough translation of the article reads:
According to a poll published Sunday in West-France, only 17% of the French will consider getting vaccinated against influenza H1N1. In Mid-September, 55% of respondents said they would get vaccinated. Nearly one in two surveyed is clearly opposed to the vaccine.
The evolution of these figures can be explained by the reduction of anxiety felt over the virus. A month ago, 32% of respondents said they were “worriedâ€, that figure has dropped to 16%.
The figures come in the wake of efforts on behalf of nine individuals who have filed formal charges in the French courts claiming that the H1N1 mass vaccination campaign is a deliberate attempt to poison the French population.
The drop in numbers willing to take the vaccine mirrors that in Germany where just 13% now say they are willing to take the shot, down from 51% in July.
Meanwhile, state media in Austria reports that yesterday, on the first day the H1N1 vaccine became available, less than ten people attended vaccine centers in the country’s fourth largest city, Salzburg.
“The organisational situation is the same as if you invite people to a party and you don’t know whether to make three or 5,000 sandwiches.†Norbert Muss, the head doctor of the regional health insurance association commented.
The Flu Case website reports that a poll to be published later this week in Luxembourg indicates that 77% of the country has no intention of getting the vaccine, while 15 % are undecided.
In addition, the site suggests that radio reports out of Poland have revealed only 3% of the population of Kraków, one of the countries largest cities, plan on taking the vaccination.
Mass rejection of the vaccine has been reported throughout Europe, with large portions of Danes, Finns, Spanish, Belgians and Dutch and British people also saying they do not intend to take the shot.
Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sibelius has not only given immunity to the makers of Tamiflu and Relenza for injuries stemming from their use against swine flu, she has granted immunity to future swine flu vaccines and “any associated adjuvantsâ€.
The last time the government embarked on a major vaccine campaign against a new swine flu, thousands filed claims contending they suffered side effects from the shots. This time around, they will have no recourse.
The 2006 Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (the PREP Act) allows the DHHS Secretary to invoke almost complete immunity from liability for manufacturers of vaccines and drugs used to combat a declared public health emergency.
The PREP Act removes the right to a trial jury unless a plaintiff can provide clear evidence of willful misconduct that resulted in death or serious physical injury — and gets permission to sue from the DHHS Secretary.
But once the PREP Act is invoked to shield manufacturers from liability, the pharmaceutical firms have no financial incentive to make the safest product, and have a negative incentive to test it for safety. As long as they do not deliberately harm consumers of the product, they will not be liable for damages.
Meanwhile, while the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention hoping to have 120 million doses of H1N1 swine flu virus vaccine ready before flu season this fall, some are raising concerns over what they see as an effort to rush the drug through safety trials.
The source of many of these concerns is the probability that the mercury-containing preservative thimerosal will be an ingredient in some of the doses of the new vaccine.
Groups opposed to current vaccination practices condemn thimerosal as a toxin responsible for the development of autism and related ailments in children. Additionally, the possibility that the swine flu vaccine could also contain an adjuvant, an ingredient that would allow more doses to be created from existing supplies of the vaccine, has also worried these groups.
As I’ve stated before, I’m not anti-vaccine, but rather pro-vaccine safety and choice. Both of the issues above – vaccine makers being inoculated against lawsuits, and the fast-tracking of vaccines that contain documented dangerous ingredients – are surefire ways to ensure that vaccine safety is largely ignored.
Add to that the potential for mandatory swine flu vaccinations and the probability for disaster skyrockets.
A Show of Political Power and Greed, at the Cost of Human Lives
Prior to October 1, 1988, if you or your child were injured by a childhood vaccine you were allowed to file a lawsuit against a vaccine manufacturer to receive compensation.
Because of such lawsuits, vaccines turned out to be a costly venture for pharmaceutical companies, who threatened to pull out of the vaccine business altogether.
This led to the creation of The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP), the so-called “vaccine court.†This program has boosted vaccine sales growth immensely since its induction, largely because manufacturers now have zero liability for the products they produce.
If your child becomes seriously injured or dies after receiving a childhood vaccine, the vaccine maker is completely shielded from liability. Even if you’re actually awarded compensation through NVICP, it is the taxpayers who pay, NOT the vaccine makers.
But that was for childhood vaccines.
What we’re looking at now is the complete removal of liability for so-called pandemic vaccines, all adjuvants, and antiviral medications such as Tamiflu and Relenza.
In fact, ANY product used to fight “an epidemic” is protected under this law, and the government decides what drugs fit the bill.
It is a blatant demonstration of just how powerful the corporate drug interests have become. Indeed, with the largest political lobby in Congress, their influence is so great they have been able to manipulate numerous laws that now insulate them from any responsibility in harming or killing people in their relentless drive to earn profits, without regard to human health or well-being.
Think about it… They can now release a vaccine (or any other pandemic drug for that matter) that has not passed any kind of rigorous safety testing, and not be held liable for any damage that occurs as a result.
How can this possibly be in the best interest of the people?
Why Vaccine Makers Now Have ZERO Incentive to Ensure Safety
Drug manufacturers got a major boost in protection and were granted unprecedented powers to experiment on the population with the passing of the 2006 Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (the PREP Act).
This law allows the DHHS Secretary to invoke almost complete immunity from liability for manufacturers of vaccines and drugs used to combat a declared public health emergency.
The PREP Act removes your right to a trial jury unless you can provide clear evidence of willful misconduct that resulted in death or serious physical injury. But that’s not all. First you must apply for and be granted permission to sue by the DHHS Secretary.
The most problematic aspect of the PREP Act is that it removes all financial incentive to make a safe product.
In fact, vaccine makers now have a negative incentive to test it for safety, because if they are aware of problems, then they could potentially be held liable for willful misconduct!
As long as they can prove they “didn’t know†of any problem, they will not be liable for damages. Hence it’s in their best interest to know as little as possible about the adverse reactions it might cause.
It seems unimaginable, but you and your children are now being enlisted as an unpaid human trial subjects for experimental, fast-tracked vaccines.
As GlaxoSmithKline stated earlier:
“Clinical trials will be limited, due to the need to provide the vaccine to governments as quickly as possible. Additional studies will therefore be required and conducted after the vaccine is made available.” [Emphasis mine].
This means that any time you get vaccinated you essentially agree to be a human guinea pig, and if your health suffers you have virtually no legal recourse whatsoever.
Do You Know What’s in That Flu Shot?
Most seasonal flu vaccines contain dangerous levels of mercury in the form of thimerosal, a deadly preservative that is 50 times more toxic than regular mercury. Most of the swine flu vaccines will also contain thimerosal, although they will reportedly make a limited number of doses available that are thimerosal-free.
If taken in high enough doses, thimerosal can result in long-term immune, sensory, neurological, motor, and behavioral dysfunctions.
Disorders associated with mercury poisoning include:
Autism
Attention deficit disorder
Multiple sclerosis
Speech and language deficiencies
It can also predispose adults to neurological problems such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
The Institute of Medicine has warned that infants, children, and pregnant women should not be injected with thimerosal, and yet the majority of flu shots contain 25 micrograms of it, and this year you and your children may be exposed to as many as FOUR flu shots in quick succession.
Meanwhile, the EPA “safe†level of mercury is only 0.1 mcg/kg per day.
Resin and gelatin – known to cause allergic reactions
Neomycin and streptomycin (antibiotics)
Phenol (carbolic acid)
Aluminum — a neurotoxin linked to Alzheimer’s disease
Polysorbate 80 (Tween80™) – which can cause severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis
Many of the swine flu vaccines being manufactured will also contain dangerous adjuvants — additives designed to generate a stronger immune response to the vaccine.
Novartis, for example, announced it is using the adjuvant MF59® in its swine flu vaccine. The MF59® adjuvant is oil-based and contains Tween80, Span85, and squalene.
In studies of oil-based adjuvants in rats, the animals were rendered crippled and paralyzed, and squalene brought on severe arthritis symptoms.
In human studies, 10 to 20 ppb (parts per billion) of squalene had a severe immune system impact and caused the development of autoimmune disorders.
I recently posted an in-depth report on squalene. If you haven’t read this article, I suggest you do so now. It contains crucial information about the health risks associated with injections of vaccines containing squalene.
But despite all the existing evidence, the World Health Organization (WHO) is actually promoting and encouraging the use of oil-based adjuvants such as squalene. In a July 13 WHO swine flu pandemic briefing note, they state:
“In view of the anticipated limited vaccine availability at global level and the potential need to protect against “drifted” strains of virus, SAGE recommended that promoting production and use of vaccines such as those that are formulated with oil-in-water adjuvants and live attenuated influenza vaccines was important.â€
Translation: WHO is now specifically recommending the production and use of vaccines containing oil-based adjuvants.
Novartis, whose vaccine contains the squalene adjuvant MF59, will receive $690 million of the $884 million. So it stands to reason that the H1N1 vaccines will almost certainly contain squalene.
With Legal Recourse Removed, Freedom of Choice is Imperative
Freedom of choice in this matter is of major importance!

Up to half of family doctors do not want to be vaccinated against swine flu.
GPs will be first in the line for the jabs when they become available but many will decline, even though they will be offering the vaccine to their patients.
More than two thirds of those who will turn the jab down believe it has not been tested enough. Most also believe the flu has turned out to be so mild in the vast majority of cases that the vaccine is not needed.
Last night Government experts criticised GPs who decide not to have the jab, saying they will put vulnerable patients needlessly at risk.
A week ago, a poll of nurses showed that a third would turn down the opportunity of being vaccinated against swine flu.
News that medics are unconvinced by the need for a vaccine will cause grave concern to patients who will be invited for the jab over the next few months.
A poll of doctors for Pulse magazine found that 49 per cent would reject the vaccine with 9 per cent undecided.
A separate survey for GP magazine found that 29 per cent would definitely opt out of having the jab, while a further 29 per cent were unsure. Just 41 per cent said they would definitely have the jab.
Of those who said they did not want to jab, 71 per cent said it was because of safety concerns.
Richard Hoey, editor of Pulse, said: ‘The medical profession has yet to be convinced by the Government’s whole approach to swine flu, with most GPs now feeling that the Department of Health overreacted in its policy on blanket use of Tamiflu.
‘Inevitably, that has coloured feelings about the planned immunisation campaign.
‘The view among many doctors is that the Government hasn’t yet made its case for why such a huge vaccination programme needs to be rushed in for what seems to be an unusually mild illness.’
But Professor David Salisbury, the Department of Health’s director of immunisation, told GP magazine that frontline health workers had a duty to themselves regarding vaccination.
‘They have a duty to their patients not to infect their patients and they have a duty to their families,’ he said.
The Pulse survey questioned 15 doctors, while GP spoke to 216.
The poll raised further questions over the Government’s planned mass vaccination programme. The jab, currently being processed, will be fast tracked and will not be fully tested before it is administered to patients.
There are also concerns the jab can spark cases of Guillain Barre Syndrome, which can lead to paralysis and even death.
A mass swine flu vaccination programme in the U.S. in 1976 caused far more deaths than the disease it was designed to combat, and the Health Protection Agency watchdog has asked doctors to look out for cases of GBS when the vaccinations begin.
Earlier this month, Chief Medical Officer Sir Liam Donaldson announced that the jab will be given to people in high-risk groups, such as those with asthma or diabetes, as well as health workers such as GPs and nurses.
Some 14million people will be covered by the first wave of the vaccination programme, with everyone else following over the next few months.
The BMA is still negotiating with doctors over how they should be paid to give out the jabs. The union is demanding £7 for every injection.
A spokesman for the BMA said: ‘The new vaccine has been thoroughly tested and we believe it should provide good protection against swine flu.
‘It is important that doctors are among the first to be offered the vaccine as it will not only protect them but the patients they care for.
However, doctors like all individuals have the right to decide whether they are vaccinated or not.’
Albany nurses and other health professionals are planning to stage a rally next week to protest a state regulation that mandates they will lose their jobs if they refuse to take the swine flu shot, as fears grow about the vaccine’s dangerous ingredients and government plans to forcibly inoculate whole populations with the H1N1 jab.
Earlier today we reported on the case of “Clare,†a daycare worker in Albany who, despite having minimal contact with hospital staff who work in a separate building, an exemption allowed in the official decree, was ordered to take the seasonal flu shot on the spot or be fired. She was also advised that the same procedure would be in place for the swine flu shot, as is outlined in the New York State Department of Health’s emergency regulation issued in August.
Now nurses across the state are standing up against government intimidation to take the shot, pointing out that the vaccine has not been properly tested and contains mercury, squalene and other dangerous additives.
The New York State Nurses Association is supporting a demonstration on behalf of nurses set to take place next week, reports Newsday.
“This vaccine has not been clinically tested to the same degree as the regular flu vaccine,†said Tara Accavallo, a registered nurse in Stony Brook’s neonatal intensive care unit, the division that has produced a number of protesters. “If something happens to me, if I get seriously injured from this vaccine, who’s going to help me?â€
Accavallo says she is willing to lose her job if need be, which is exactly what will happen to thousands of other health professionals on November 30 if the government refuses to back down.
Rob Kozik, another registered nurse in Stony Brook’s neonatal intensive care unit, said he has no problems with a seasonal vaccine but he has deep concerns about being immunized against H1N1. “I usually get vaccinated against the flu, but they are mandating an untested and unproven vaccine,†Kozik told Newsday
“The H1N1 vaccine already has a poor track record,†he added. “Back in 1976 there was vaccine [to protect against swine flu] that caused death and Guillain-Barre syndrome,†said Kozik, referring to a nerve-damaging disorder that some people linked to the vaccine. He said he also worries about the vaccine additive thimerosal, which is used as a preservative in some doses of the vaccine.
According to Dr. Steven Walerstein, medical director of Nassau University Medical Center where H1N1 vaccinations have already started, 25 workers at the institution refused to take the shot and were later “referred to human resources and counseling.”
If polls are proven accurate, at least a third of nurses and health workers in the U.S. and the UK will refuse to take the shot, with another third still undecided.
The fact that health professionals, and even employees loosely affiliated with hospitals, are being intimidated into taking the shot, proves President Obama’s claim that the vaccine will be voluntary to be deceptive and misleading. At the very least people’s livelihoods are on the line if they refuse to be injected and elsewhere, in countries such as Ireland and Greece, authorities have threatened large fines and jail time for people who refuse the vaccine.
As we have previously documented, the swine flu vaccine was rushed through safety procedures while governments have provided pharmaceutical companies with blanket immunity from lawsuits arriving out of the vaccine causing deaths and injuries.
It was previously revealed that some batches of the vaccine will contain mercury, a toxin linked with autism and neurological disorders. The vaccine will also contain the dangerous ingredient squalene, which has been directly linked with cases of Gulf War Syndrome and a host of other debilitating diseases.
It was also recently reported that the UK government sent a confidential letter to senior neurologists telling them to be on the alert for cases of a brain disorder called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), which could be triggered by the vaccine. The CDC in America replicated this warning weeks later.
As a result of the dangers of the vaccine becoming widely known, authorities are moving to get out ahead of the story by acknowledging that millions of health problems in the aftermath of a vaccination campaign will be blamed on the vaccine, citing the 1976 swine flu debacle when the shot proved far deadlier than the actual virus.
Reuters reports that public health officials, “Expect an avalanche of so-called adverse event reports, which are reports of death, illness or other health trauma that occur within two weeks after receiving treatment — in this case, the swine flu vaccine,†in reaction to an estimated “one million heart attacks, 700,000 strokes and 900,000 miscarriages.â€
